What are the coastal station?
Is a maritime communications station on the Sudanese coast have fallen dependence Sudanese Maritime Sea Ports Authority in 1984 after they had been tracking for the General Authority of Post and Telegraph for the purpose of modernization and development.
Overall objectives of the coastal station:
1. advisory services provided to ships arriving and departing and transit also Sudanese Maritime Sea Ports Authority (Port Sudan, Osman Digna, bashayer ,damadama  , alkhair port )
2 . of a link between the shipping agents and ship within the water
3 . navigational warnings to publish that impede navigation within the Regional Water.
Specific objectives:
– monitoring of all cases of distress, emergency and security inside and outside the territorial waters and reporting jurisdictions.
– applying the conventions (SOLAS) and the laws of the World Telecommunication Union (ITU)

3. GMDSS Equipments Global Maritime distress and safety System :

The Global Maritime Distress Safety System (GMDSS) is an internationally agreed-upon set of safety procedures, types of equipment, and communication protocols used to increase safety and make it easier to rescue distressed ships, boats and aircraft.

One of  The devices  is VTS  an abbreviation for (Vessel Traffic Sevice): is a device that the Port Authority created.
VTS is designed to improve the safety and efficiency of navigation, safety of life at sea and the protection of the marine environment. VTS is governed by SOLAS Chapter V Regulation 12 together with the Guidelines for Vessel Traffic Services [IMO Resolution A.857(20)] adopted by the International Maritime Organization on 27 November 1997.The VTS traffic image is compiled and collected by means of advanced sensors such as radar, AIS, direction finding, CCTV and VHF or other co-operative systems and services. A modern VTS integrates all of the information in to a single operator working environment for ease of use and in order to allow for effective traffic organization and communication.and can monitor the movement of ships name. and call sign, location, and load capacity provided that they are equipped with the definition of vessels (AIS) and the device to monitor maritime traffic which is similar to air traffic control for aircraft and are grouped Photos Service vessel traffic through advanced sensors and integrate this information in a unified display screens for easy use.

Radar covers the sudanese ports And territorial waters.
